Every story bible spreadsheet dies the same way: it is accurate the day you make it, then the draft moves on and the spreadsheet quietly stops being true. The short version
The problem with a manual story bible is not effort, it is direction. You copy facts out of the draft into the spreadsheet, but nothing ever flows back: the spreadsheet cannot read chapter eleven and notice it broke a fact from chapter two, and it does not know about the scene you revised last night. The bookkeeping evening disappears
No more ending a writing day with data entry. Run a check and the World tab catches up with the manuscript on its own; the only entries you type are the ones the prose has not said yet.

Common questions
Can I bring my existing story bible into Bunsho?
Bring the manuscript, which is the part that matters. Bunsho imports .docx, Markdown, plain text, and Fountain, and on first import offers a full review with the cost shown before it runs; the World tab fills itself from the prose. Anything the manuscript does not say yet, like backstory or plans, you add by hand, and those entries count as canon too.
What happens to the facts I only know from my notes?
Add them to the World tab by hand. Hand entries sit beside what the manuscript established and count as canon: keep a character's birth year or a city's geography there, and checks hold your chapters to it, even before the fact appears in prose.
Does the World tab update while I type?
No, and that is deliberate. It updates when you run a check: Check this chapter, Review changes, or Full review, each with its cost shown first. Writing is never metered, and nothing reads your draft until you ask.
How is this different from keeping the spreadsheet more carefully?
Discipline does not fix the direction of the problem. A spreadsheet only knows what you remembered to write down, and it never reads the draft, so it cannot tell you chapter eleven broke a fact from chapter two. The World tab is filled from the manuscript itself and backs a checker that cites both passages.
Is my manuscript kept private?
Your chapters are plain files on your machine, and the editor needs no account. Only the pages being checked are sent for analysis, and they are never used to train models.
