Windows says "Windows protected your PC"
A blue Windows warning appears when you open the Bunsho installer. Here is how to continue.
Updated October 15, 2026
When you open the Bunsho installer, a blue window says Windows protected your PC and offers only a Don't run button.
Why it happens
Windows shows this screen for installers from publishers it does not yet know well. The Bunsho installer is not yet signed with a Windows publisher certificate, so Windows is cautious. It does not mean the file is damaged.
Continue the install
- On the blue window, select More info. It is the small link in the text.
- A new button appears at the bottom: Run anyway. Select it.
- Follow the installer. Bunsho opens when it finishes.
Tip:Only do this for the installer you downloaded from bunsho.io/download. If you got the file from somewhere else, delete it and download it again from the site.
You see this once, when you first run the installer. Updates inside Bunsho do not show it. Still stuck? Write to support@bunsho.io.
